RETAIL ✳ 2027 EDITION

THE SOUND OF
YOUR STORE.

Curated, uplifting, brand-safe music for shops, gyms, barbers, cafés, salons and hotels — built for retail, not random playlists.

01  WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

Why Spy-da in retail
is different.

Curated, clean music

We focus on uplifting, clean music that keeps the energy right for staff and customers.

Built for retail

Not random playlists. A structured retail sound system designed to support your shop’s vibe.

Aligned with your brand

Music shapes perception. We help you match your in-store sound to your brand’s personality and audience.

02  HOW DOES IT WORK?

Choose. Set the vibe.
Press play.

A simple setup that stays consistent as you grow.

01

Choose a plan

Pick the plan that matches your store size and how often you want new playlists.

02

We set your vibe

Uplifting, calm, energetic or premium — we match your store type and build a consistent sound identity.

03

Play it in-store

On your phone or tablet, a dedicated device, or your in-store audio system. Keep the volume stable and let the playlist work.

04

Refresh + support

We refresh playlists regularly. Expanding to more locations? We replicate the vibe across stores.

Best-practice setup

  • Keep volume consistent (avoid “too loud” spikes)
  • Use speakers that spread sound evenly, not just near the counter
  • Avoid heavy bass in small spaces (fatigue + stress)
  • Keep music aligned with your brand identity

The physics of it

  • Time perception — matching music helps customers browse longer
  • Tempo — faster lifts pace, slower encourages browsing
  • Volume — stable, moderate loudness keeps people calm
  • Frequencies — curated mixes avoid harsh mids and boomy bass

03  LICENSING & OWNERSHIP

What you’re licensing.

Clear, simple, no confusion.

Platform access

If your business is approved for retail use, your account can be enabled for in-store playback of Spy-da’s curated catalogue, in line with our retailer terms.

Public performance

Playing music publicly in a shop can need a separate public-performance licence from local collection societies (in the UK, PRS for Music / PPL). Spy-da provides access to music; it may not replace those requirements.

Artists keep ownership

Artists retain ownership of their masters. Retailers aren’t buying the music — you’re licensing permission to play the curated catalogue in your store.

What you can do

  • Play music in-store during opening hours
  • Use playlists designed for your store type
  • Request vibe adjustments (where available)

What you can’t do

  • Redistribute tracks outside the platform
  • Copy the catalogue for offline resale
  • Use tracks in ads or online videos without extra clearance
